Wholesale | Dropshipping

Reselling items bought through a wholesale distributor is becoming more and more popular these days due to the emergence of ebay and other auction type sites. The main idea of buying from a wholesale distributor is to buy larger quantities of items in order to get them for a much cheaper price per item. Since the items are being bought at a cheaper price individually, they can be sold for profit. Say one buys 100 T-Shirts for $1000, that is $10 per shirt. One can make a website and sell these shirts or even put them up on ebay selling them for $20 a piece; selling 50 of the shirts would put you back at even, and selling all 100 would equate to a $1000 profit. Thats the basic idea of wholesale, there are endless products that can be resold for profit, choosing is the part that can be tricky sometimes.

Another aspect of the wholesale market is dropshipping. Dropshipping is basically selling items without even having a physical inventory. The normal process for dropshipping would go as follows:

1. A customer places an order for a product and pays. 2. The order information is sent to a dropshipper. 3. The dropshipper then ships the product to the customer with your address as the sender. Whenever this is done the product is bought at a cheaper price from the dropshipper than what it was sold at to the customer, which is how the profit is made.
